I was pleasantly surprised to get a sail in at all today.

Met up with Al, then Nick down at the beach. After spending hours rigging up I hit the water and the wind died to nothing. Not happy. Schlogged a bit, came in, chatted with Nick and drank his coffee, and went out again just to stay warm - it didn't feel any windier. But it was. Had a brilliant time skipping along on the Carve - it was a bit on the big & slappy side, but the curvy shape lended itself to the waves - could've changed to the Axxis but too lazy I guess. And it's a bit too straight line for the surf.

I even wobbled around one carve gybe in the waves. I was impressed. Despite the slappiness and having to keep dodging a kamikaze kitesurfer in a blue helmet (!) it was really good... and nice to have a bit of company on the water.
